8. Portland Trail Blazers

The Portland Trail Blazers, at least in my opinion, has been one of the most impressive teams in the NBA this season. I knew that the return of Damian Lillard would boost the team but I had no idea that the simple addition of Jerami Grant during the offseason would open the door for so much success this season.

Whether or not it is sustainable remains to be seen but the Blazers have the look of a team that could be a dark horse threat in the Western Conference. And I still think that Portland could make an in-season move that could put them in an even better position heading into the playoffs.

If this team can remain healthy, it will be interesting to see where this season ends. With the way they’ve started, it’s fair to say that their ceiling has been raised a bit.
