7. New Orleans Pelicans

You have to love what we’ve seen thus far from the New Orleans Pelicans. The thought has been for the past couple of seasons that they’ve had the talent to compete with some of the other high-level teams in the Western Conference. But now they have the health to back up their talent.

And that could prove to be huge. If the team’s trio of Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram, and CJ McCollum can remain on the floor this season, there’s no question that this team has a good enough supporting cast to cause some major damage in the playoffs.

If the Pelicans can continue to play at this level, this is a developing young team that no West favorite is going to want to see in a seven-game series. The future is bright for New Orleans.
