New York Knicks add a wing

In this trade scenario, the hope is that adding one two-way wing would make all the difference for the New York Knicks. RJ Barrett has struggled this season and perhaps adding some depth behind him would help relieve some of that pressure. That’s where a player such as Harrison Barnes can come into play.

Not only could he play the small forward but he could also play some small-ball 4 at this point in his career. He hasn’t had the 3-point precision that he’s had at times throughout his career in the past, but perhaps a change of scenery would help him on that front as well. And the Knicks wouldn’t need him to be a savior either.

In this deal, there’s a chance the Knicks could get away with offering up a future first-round pick along with stapling the contract of Derrick Rose. If that would be enough for a player like Barnes, the Knicks should be all over that possibility.
