Before the season, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Utah Jazz as a possible trade deadline seller. However, after their solid start to the season, the thought of the Jazz being all-out sellers quickly diminished. I believe that over the next few weeks the Jazz will continue to fade and they will be forced to rethink the idea of selling.

And I believe that they will eventually get to a place where they’re going to move forward with selling a good portion of their veterans. Or, at the very least, they’re going to test the trade waters extensively.

A few players on the roster that wouldn’t be surprising to see moved by the February 9 NBA Trade Deadline are Kelly Olynyk, Malik Beasley, Jordan Clarkson, Mike Conley, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Rudy Gay. And if they could sell high on a player like Lauri Markkanen, I honestly believe that’s something they should consider.

Whether they will or not remains to be seen, but it would largely be surprising if the Jazz didn’t move at least a couple of the players on the list above.
