The Los Angeles Lakers are officially one of the hottest teams in the league. We look at three reasons why it may be unsustainable in the long run.

Through the first 22 games of the season for the Los Angeles Lakers, we’ve seen two very different teams. During the first 12 games of the season, the Lakers were 2-10, had one of the worst offenses in the league, LeBron James looked old, Russell Westbrook continued to look out of place, and there was little-to-no hope for this team.

However, in the last 10 games (8-2), it’s almost as if the Lakers have completely flipped the script on their season. In the last 10 games, the Lakers have one of the best offenses and defenses, LeBron looks rejuvenated (after sitting out due to an injury), Westbrook seems to have found his stride in a new role off the bench, and Anthony Davis is playing out of his mind.

The Los Angeles Lakers are playing like one of the best teams in the league right now

While all seems great right now for the Lakers, as they inch closer and closer back to .500 on the year, you can’t help but wonder if the team’s recent play is sustainable.

The Lakers may seem to be trending in the right direction, but we’ll explore three reasons why their recent play in the last 10 games may be somewhat fraudulent.
