NBA Trade Rumors: The Phoenix Suns and Atlanta Hawks are two teams that have expressed interest in acquiring Kyle Kuzma at the trade deadline.
Through the first quarter of the season, the Phoenix Suns and Atlanta Hawks have been two teams that have found themselves continuously in the rumor mill. They are good bets to make a trade at some point before the trade deadline.
The question is, who will they try to trade for and what will it cost? Also, are both operating from a point of being buyers? It would appear so but you never know, at least for the Hawks.
Nevertheless, according to a recent report, there is one name that both the Suns and Hawks seem to be interested in – Kyle Kuzma. Kuzma is having another strong season in Washington and could be in line for a big payday this upcoming offseason.
Kuzma is averaging 21 points, eight rebounds, and four assists per game on 46 percent shooting from the field this season. There’s no indication at the moment that the Wizards are trying to trade him at the moment but if they get to that point, Kuzma could be one of the bigger trade deadline moves.

Kuzma is on an expiring contract and he’s a player that the Wizards will have to make a decision on. Do the Wizards believe that there is a path to a contract extension for Kuzma heading into the offseason? If so, it could make it more difficult to part ways with him at the NBA Trade Deadline.
But, at least for now, I don’t think that’s a foregone conclusion. And if the Wizards continue to struggle as a team, that decision is only going to get more complicated.
Nevertheless, Kuzma is a player that many contenders will keep a close eye on as we inch closer and closer to the trade deadline. If he is a player that the Wizards are open to trading, there’s no question there will be a vast market for the veteran forward.
