Miami Heat: 5 moves that would successfully trigger a soft reset in a lost season
Step 5 – Let Bam Adebayo continue to build confidence as a No. 1 offensive option
The final step that the Heat needs to do for the remainder of this season is to allow Bam Adebayo to continue to grow his confidence as he grows as a No. 1 offensive option. If the Heat can get to a point where Bam is comfortable being a consistent No. 1 option on the offensive end, it will only give the team much more flexibility when it comes to retooling the roster.
The good news is that we’ve already begun to see signs of Bam being a consistent offensive threat. The key will be to continue that momentum through the remainder of the season and get more and more comfortable with the ball continuously in his hands.
Bam has been the team’s lone bright spot this season. Especially with his recent change of aggression as of late. But a handful of games is not a great sample size. A full season of aggressive Bam is something that could change the trajectory of his career.
If the Heat can enter next season with two possible No. 1 offensive options in Bam and Jimmy, Miami could go a number of ways with how they want to build around them.
