Kyle Anderson, Minnesota Timberwolves
As one of the more underrated offseason acquisitions, it would be somewhat surprising if the Minnesota Timberwolves actually traded Kyle Anderson. However, if the Wolves want to upgrade the roster ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline, it’s hard to see many other avenues for doing so.
And Anderson hasn’t exactly found his role with the Wolves. It hasn’t been a seamless integration and he’s only averaging seven points and four rebounds on 51 percent shooting from the field in 22 minutes per game.
Is there a team that would want to offer Anderson a bigger role? If so, it wouldn’t be surprising for the Wolves to try to find a player that perhaps would be a better fit.
Maybe Minnesota eventually finds the right role for Anderson, but I believe there’s at least an outside chance that he could be used to “upgrade” the roster closer to the trade deadline.
