Through the first 20-plus games of the season, the Boston Celtics have looked head and shoulders like the best team in the league. Knowing what we know about this front office, though, there’s a strong chance that the Celtics are going to try to upgrade their roster ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline.

In fact, it would be surprising if they didn’t. And one player that they could use (in addition to a draft asset) is Danilo Gallinari. He’s out for the season but he’s on a one-year deal and would essentially work as an expiring contract.

If the Celtics wanted to, they could probably staple Gallinari’s contract to a future first-round pick and land a quality player. Of course, the right opportunity would have to present itself for the team but it’s not something that could be completely counted out.
