NBA Trade Rumors: Three players that the Los Angeles Lakers have been linked to recently.

The Los Angeles Lakers have played better as of late but this is still a team that remains a move or two away from being a true contender in the Western Conference. They are currently 11-15, but only three games back of the Portland Trail Blazers for the sixth seed in the West.

There have certainly been bright and low moments for the team so far this season. And there is still plenty of work for this franchise to do if they want to factor in at all this season.

But there’s a sense that the Lakers will likely eventually make a trade. And with just two months left before the trade deadline, the clock is ticking for the front office. According to a recent report, there are three players that the Lakers have at least expressed some interest in – Bojan Bogdanovic, Cam Reddish, and Evan Fournier. The team is making shooting at the forefront of their targets ahead of the trade deadline.

Bojan Bogdanovic makes the most sense for the Los Angeles Lakers

Of the players that have been linked to the Lakers in this recent report, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to come to the conclusion that there’s one that would make a lot of sense for the team – and that’s Bogdanovic.

Bogdanovic is having a fantastic season in Detroit and would be a welcomed addition in Los Angeles. He would effectively give the Lakers another consistent offensive threat and help take some of the offensive pressure off of LeBron and AD. He also would be a great fit on the team, whether that’s in a starting role or off the bench.

Bogdanovic is averaging a career-high 21 points per game on 51 percent shooting from the field and 44 percent shooting from 3-point range. Because he’s having arguably his best season to date, it could make the asking price that much steeper. Especially for a team like the Lakers that doesn’t really have many other trade pieces than salary fillers and a future first-round pick.

If the Lakers could figure out how to land Bogdnaovic without parting ways with one of their future first-round picks, it would be a huge win for the team. Though, that may be easier said than done. And, quite frankly, it may be impossible to pull off.
