Los Angeles Lakers
It would actually be pretty funny if the Los Angeles Lakers called up the Washington Wizards and asked for Kyle Kuzma back. The Lakers traded Kuzma to the Wizards two offseasons ago in a package for Russell Westbrook. Who knows where Los Angeles would be if they never made that deal?
Nevertheless, in essence, Kuzma would be a good fit on this Lakers team. Now that Anthony Davis has slid to the center position, Kuma would be a welcomed addition as the team’s starting power forward. It would allow LeBron James to be a bit more of a facilitator and alleviate some of the team’s issues at the point guard position.
But, again, the Wizards are unlikely to accept a deal that includes Russell Westbrook unless, you would imagine, it comes with a hefty sweetener of a future first-round pick or two. Quite frankly, for as good as Kuzma has been this season, he’s not worth that. At least not from the Lakers’ perspective.
The Lakers should have a certain level of interest in Kuzma. But I’m not sure if there’s a deal that makes the most sense for both sides.
