DeMar DeRozan, Chicago Bulls

Even though the Chicago Bulls have continued to maintain that they’re not going to trade DeMar DeRozan, a lot can happen between now and the NBA Trade Deadline. There are still two months and would it be that surprising if the Bulls pivoted on their stance? Especially if they continue to lose?

Currently, the Bulls are 11-15 and out of the top 10 in the standings. And unless something drastically changes, there’s a strong argument to make that this is not a team that is even going to qualify for the Play-In Tournament. That can’t be acceptable for a team that is built to win now. If missing the playoffs is not going to trigger change, I’m not really sure what will.

If the Bulls get to a point where they’d be open to trading DeRozan, the Lakers are a team that would make a lot of sense. They have the high-profile draft pick to get it done and the role that DeRozan would likely want in his next stop.

While it does make sense, there are several things that need to happen before it ultimately can come to fruition.
