Why the Raptors should be buyers

Reason No. 1: They Desperately Need Shooters

It’s a shooters league and the Toronto Raptors currently find themselves with the third-worst three-point shooting percentage in the NBA behind only the Atlanta Hawks and the Los Angeles Lakers.

They are only shooting 32.3% from three and making only 10 per game. For context, the Warriors and Celtics make around 16. The Raptors shouldn’t be striving to make that big of a jump, but they should at least try to hit 12 or 13 a contest.

Targeting cheap pieces like Doug McDermott or Bryn Forbes (both career 41.0% three-point shooters) could be ideal for a team hungry for three-point production.

General manager Masai Ujiri will surely be on the lookout for some if he decides to pull the trigger.
