Why The Raptors Should Be Patient

Reason No. 1: The team has been ravaged by injuries

The Raptors haven’t spent a lot of time at full strength this year. Key contributors such as Precious Achiuwa and Otter Porter Jr. have missed significant time. Achiuwa has only played in 12 games this year and Porter Jr. has only played in eight but both will provide solid production when back on the floor.

Franchise superstar Pascal Siakam has only played in 18 games but Toronto is a totally different team when the potential All-NBA player is on the floor. Siakam is averaging 24.6 points, 8.5 rebounds, and seven assists per game on 47.7% shooting from the field. When Siakam is on the floor they outscore opposing teams by 6.7 points per 100 possessions.

Knowing what this team is capable of at full strength might deter Ujiri from making any moves.
