In the latest edition of our NBA Power Rankings, we take a closer look at the red-hot New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers.

Heading into the holiday season, we are officially in the thick of the NBA season. Christmas Day is just around the corner, in which oftentimes the NBA takes centerstage, and once the 2023 calendar year arrives, we’re going to see the start of the push toward the playoffs.

As the standings in both conferences begin to take shape, there are several teams that have begun to separate themselves and dignify themselves as contenders. Others have not, even though they had big expectations before the season.

Two teams that perhaps have begun to hit their stride recently are the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers.

The New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers have caught fire

New York has won six games in a row and seven of their last nine. They may have begun to turn a corner on their early season struggles as they’ve climbed up to a tie for 6th in the Eastern Conference standings.

Similarly, the Sixers have won four games in a row and 11 of their last 16. Philadelphia is now sitting in fifth in the East standings.

Let’s get to the latest edition of our NBA Power Rankings.
