6. New Orleans Pelicans

Right now, the New Orleans Pelicans are sitting in second in the Western Conference standings. There are many that perhaps don’t believe in this team but I firmly believe this is a team that could make a deep playoff run in the West.

I’m not sure if they can come out of the conference and make the NBA Finals, but if this team is healthy they’re going to be dangerous in the playoffs. If you haven’t been able to watch this team yet, I highly advise that you do.

5. Cleveland Cavaliers

Many questioned the addition of Donovan Mitchell during the offseason. However, the team has proven over the first couple of months of the season that they’re ready to take the next step as a contender in the Eastern Conference.

I’m not sure if the Cavs are currently at the same level as the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics, but they’re coming and still getting better.
