Josh Richardson, San Antonio Spurs

Assuming that it’s highly likely that Josh Richardson will not re-sign with the team during the offseason, it would be extremely surprising if the San Antonio Spurs didn’t, at the very least, explore his trade value heading into the NBA Trade Deadline.

Richardson would fill plenty of holes for the Lakers. He’s a good 3-point shooter and a solid defender. He also doesn’t get enough credit for his ability to be a secondary playmaker – something he really blossomed with during his time in Miami.

The big question is what the Spurs would be looking for. You’d have to imagine that the beginning price would be a future first-round pick. Could the Lakers negotiate that down? The problem is that the Lakers don’t have a ton of assets and aside from a future pick, I’m not really sure what the Spurs would be interested in on LA’s roster.

A first-round pick would get it done. Do the Lakers believe he’s worth it?
