Even though there are plenty of realistic trade targets out there for the Los Angeles Lakers, I believe that all roads will eventually lead back to the Indiana Pacers. Specifically, back to the possibility of acquiring Myles Turner and/or Buddy Hield. But let’s begin with why Turner should be viewed as a realistic trade target.

For one, he is a fit next to Anthony Davis and would give him insurance that the team doesn’t currently have on its roster. Turner is a really good player and you can make the argument that he hasn’t reached his peak yet as a pro.

Assuming that the Lakers would be willing to give him an extension during the offseason, he’s probably a player that the Lakers view as one worth a future first-round pick.

If the Lakers are fully sold on the Turner-AD frontcourt duo, he has to be considered one of the more realistic (and difference-making) targets at the trade deadline.
