If the New York Knicks truly believe that they are a player away from being a real contender in the Eastern Conference, then they should absolutely be willing to go all-in on OG Anunoby. The only question is whether or not he is a player that they should be willing to throw every single asset that they have in a possible deal.
I’m not sure what the answer that to that question is, and I’m not even sure if Anunoby would be worth it. However, considering how difficult it has been for the Knicks to acquire any top-tier talent, trading for one may be the team’s best chance at taking a substantial step forward. And Anunoby would make a lot of sense.
