9. Toronto Raptors – Ausar Thompson, G, Overtime Elite

In what would likely be a first, Ausar Thompson could be a selection here at No. 9. That means two brothers will go in the top 10 of an NBA Draft for the first time ever. I think. Either way, it would be shocking if Ausar wasn’t a top-10 pick and could climb between now and the draft.

There have been plenty of whispers surrounding the Toronto Raptors over the last few weeks. Whether or not any of them are actually true or hold any water remains to be seen, but it would not be surprising at all if they did.

In the event that the team does elect to move from any of their wings, perhaps Gary Trent Jr., the Raptors could simply turn around and use their projected lottery pick to refill their talent well. And if there’s one thing the Raptors have done right recently, it’s turning out high-level talent after a developmental phase.
