2023 NBA Mock Draft: Victor Wembanyama will change the landscape of the league
23. Brooklyn Nets (via PHI) – Dereck Lively Jr., C, Duke
The Brooklyn Nets don’t have many holes on their roster but they could use some help in the frontcourt. At this point, it would be shocking if Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant weren’t back with the team next season.
One player they could target late in the first round is Dereck Lively Jr. He’s a great shot blocker and is a 7-foot-1 rim protector whom Brooklyn could very much find the role for.
24. Los Angeles Lakers (via NOP) – Brice Sensabaugh, F, Ohio State
The Los Angeles Lakers aren’t likely to find a certified star with a late first-round pick but they could find some value. Brice Sensabaugh out of Ohio State could be that for the Lakers. He isn’t the best athlete or has the most talent of the 2023 draft prospects but has made a huge difference for the Buckeyes.
Sensabaugh is averaging 15 points and four rebounds per game on 51 percent shooting from the field and 49 percent shooting from 3-point range.
