6. Orlando Magic – Nick Smith Jr., G, Arkansas

The Orlando Magic have made some strides this season and even though the team is quite loaded in the talent department in the frontcourt, there are still some major questions surrounding the team in the backcourt. Adding some insurance to the backcourt would be the best bet for this team heading into the 2023 NBA Draft.

Nick Smith Jr., out of Arkansas, is probably the best guard and player available at this point in the draft. Smith is averaging 13 points per game so far this season. He’s struggled a bit during his first few games with the Razorbacks but his talent and potential are something Orlando should be willing to take a chance on.

After all, this is not a team that is in a position to compete anytime soon. The Magic are still very much in the early process of a rebuild. Adding another project with a high ceiling would not be a surprising move for this team at the deadline.
