The New York Knicks will move on from Tom Thibodeau

When things have not gone well for the Knicks this season, the fit of Tom Thibodeau as the team’s head coach has been brought to attention. Thibs’ resume can speak for itself. He’s a good NBA coach. I’m just not sure he’s the right coach that is going to help the Knicks get to the place that they want to get as a franchise.

That’s where this prediction comes into play – I believe that during the offseason, the Knicks and Thibs will come to the agreement to part ways amicably. If this does happen, it’s going to be one of those agree-to-disagree types of scenarios.

There will be a whole public relations spin where neither Thibs nor the Knicks come away looking bad. And that’s perfectly fine. It’s not like Thibs has been terrible during his time in New York. It hasn’t been one of the best coaching jobs of his career but he also hasn’t been a failure. It just may be time for a change, for both sides. And I believe it will happen this offseason.
