My second prediction for Los Angeles Lakers is that they will miss the playoffs. This prediction falls in line with the previous one. Because I fully expect the Lakers to stand pat at the NBA Trade Deadline, I don’t expect this team to make the playoffs. Who knows when Anthony Davis is going to return from injury, and this is a team that simply doesn’t have enough depth to overcome that big of an absence.

It’s unfortunate that the Lakers are going to miss the playoffs again considering this will now be two years in a row with LeBron James. This is not what you would want to come to expect from a LeBron James-led team but has quickly become a regretful reality in Los Angeles for a storied franchise and a storied superstar.

The standing pat at the NBA Trade Deadine and the missing of the playoffs this season will begin what could end up being a historic franchise for the Lakers. It is on the cusp of what awaits this team during the offseason.
