Heading into the 2023 calendar year, we explore if the Chicago Bulls’ recent success is sustainable.

Entering the 2022-23 NBA season, there were high expectations for the Chicago Bulls as they made a significant jump last season. The offseason additions were substantial for the Bulls’ success in making a return to the postseason.

DeMar DeRozan was in the running for NBA MVP during the first half of last season, Alex Caruso improved the defense and became somewhat of a household name as a Bull, and when Lonzo Ball was healthy, the Bulls were terrific.

However, things have looked different this season. Instead of picking up where they left off as a probable playoff team, the Bulls have spent the majority of the season struggling and looking like a team without a true identity.

However, the team has begun to play slightly better as of late. We explore what has happened to the Bulls (from last season to this season) and whether or not the team’s recent success is sustainable moving forward.
