The Trade: LeBron James to Philadelphia 76ers for Tobias Harris, Furkan Korkmaz, 2029 first-round pick, 2030 first-round pick swap

Future pick swaps can be huge (just as the 2022-2023 Lakers), so I do think the Lakers would be wise to ask for swaps in any LeBron deal, especially from an old team like the 76ers. L.A. would certainly love to get its hands on Tyrese Maxey, but that would defeat the purpose of Philly going all in here.

The young Maxey brings an element any championship team would covet (but still will be on this third or fourth contract by the time these picks come due).

LeBron James, James Harden, and Joel Embiid would be next-level NBA drama and insecurity. But probably also the last-best chance to get Joel Embiid to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Tobias Harris would accomplish for the Lakers what Herro could (first trade) and then come off the books in 2024.
