It wasn’t too long ago that it appears that Kevin Durant was going to be traded away from the Brooklyn Nets. Though, that does seem like such a long time ago. Has all been fixed in Brooklyn? They are winning at a great pace and have the look of a team that’s going to be a problem in the Eastern Conference playoffs, but I have my doubts that all has been forgotten.

Even less so considering there are still huge questions surrounding the future of Kyrie Irving, who is an unrestricted free agent after the season. If he does leave in free agency, does that mean Kevin Durant is going to stay?

If the Nets don’t want to give Kyrie the long-term extension that he’ll likely be seeking, I think there’s a good chance that means Durant could be asking for a trade again. This scenario could all land and be determined by what happens with Kyrie.
