Buddy Hield, Indiana Pacers

With the news that the Indiana Pacers and Myles Turner are discussing a possible contract extension, there’s a chance that Buddy Hield ends up being the one big-name player that is moved at the NBA Trade Deadline or during the offseason. If he were shopped, Hield would be a hot commodity on the open market – especially as the salary cap continues to rise.

The Pacers may not be interested in a full-blown rebuild at this point but moving a veteran like Hield could be a more viable retooling move for the team. Hield doesn’t appear to be a fit with this team’s timeline despite the fact that he’s been extremely productive this season.

Hield is averaging 18 points and five rebounds per game this season on 46 percent shooting from the field and 43 percent shooting from 3-point range. It’s hard not to look at how productive and efficient he’s been this season and not think that he can’t help a contending team.
