Julius Randle, New York Knicks

It would be extremely shocking to me if the New York Knicks didn’t try to capitalize on the recent play of Julius Randle and tried to trade him at some point ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline (if that possibility presents itself) or during the offseason. Either way, I’m under the belief that there’s a greater chance that Randle isn’t on the Knicks’ roster next season.

Randle is a good player but simply doesn’t fit what the Knicks need. He could be valuable on another team but is a player that doesn’t offer much value to the Knicks. He’s been extremely productive recently but could be used as an asset to get another player that fits better for New York.

Will that happen? It should. But I’m sure the Knicks aren’t going to push that agenda until they get either fair or better value. Right now, I’m not sure that offer is out there for the Knicks. It could take some time but New York could end up moving Randle at some point in 2023.
