With the 2023 calendar year here, we explore three bold predictions for the Golden State Warriors.

Through roughly the first half of the 2022-23 NBA season, it’s safe to say that the Golden State Warriors haven’t performed as many expected them. The defending champions got off to a shaky start to the season and still haven’t recovered for the most part.

Currently, the Warriors are just one game over .500 at 19-18 and are sitting as the 9th seed in the Western Conference standings. Through 37 games this season, the Warriors have an average offense, an average defense, and a negative net rating.

For a team that was expected to be among the top contenders in the league this season, the Warriors have indeed fallen flat on their faces. There’s still a whole second half of the season for the Warriors to recover but it’s hard to envision this team making a substantial move up the standings with the way the team has played so far.

Can the Golden State Warriors recover?

The talent is there, there’s no question about it. But there still remains plenty unresolved within the team. As we enter into the 2023 calendar year, we explore three bold (and perhaps unexpected) predictions for the Warriors.
