Now that the Brooklyn Nets have evolved into championship form, this is a team that should be scouring the trade market for small upgrades that will only strengthen their chances of winning a championship this season. That means Alex Caruso is likely a player the Nets should be keeping an eye on.

He’s another defensive guard that could help the Nets on that end of the floor while also being a capable offensive player that doesn’t necessarily need the ball in his hands to be all that effective. Despite not posting gaudy offensive numbers, Caruso is still averaging 44 percent shooting from the field and 39 percent shooting from 3-point range.

Caruso may not be a headling move at the NBA Trade Deadline but could end up playing a huge role for a dark horse contender such as the Nets. Especially when it comes to loading up on the defensive side of the floor.
