Three trade targets that could awaken the Miami Heat’s chances of emerging as a dark horse threat in the Eastern Conference.

At nearly the midway point of the season, the Miami Heat have not been the consistent threat that they have been in the past in the Eastern Conference. They’re inconsistent on a night-to-night basis and every time it seems as if they’ve hit their stride they take a step back.

Even though they’ve been disappointing at 20-19, the talent that they have on paper can’t be counted out. Bam Adebayo has taken another step in his game, Tyler Herro looks every bit worth his contract (at least on the offensive end), and Jimmy Butler is still one of the best players in the league when he’s healthy.

Because of that talent, Miami can’t remain silent at the trade deadline. They have to take a shot at making a move that could awaken or spark this team in the second half of the season. In an attempt to right the ship in the push toward the playoffs, we explore three NBA Trade Deadline targets that could help spark the Heat.
