If the Miami Heat is looking for a bigger type of deal, John Collins could present an interesting scenario for the team. He’s a big-name star that comes with some pedigree and is a player that the team has been interested in in the past. He fits as a target that could potentially be a reclamation project for Miami, and you know how much this team loves those types of challenges.

Collins is still young (25 years old) and we’ve seen him be successful and productive in the league before. Who’s to say that he can’t get back to that level at some point in the next couple of seasons? He may have worn out his welcome in Atlanta but he’s still an extremely talented player.

Collins landing in the right situation could be the difference in him reaching his ceiling vs. continuing to fall off as a player. He may be in the midst of one of the worst seasons of his career right now but add him to this Heat roster and he’ll have the opportunity to thrive. Especially as a player next to Bam.
