NBA Trade Rumors: 6 teams one deadline move away from contender status

The Dallas Mavericks made quite a leap last season in the playoffs. They went from a dark horse contender to a legit one in a matter of a few weeks. In the end, the Mavs simply didn’t have enough firepower to compete with the likes of the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals.

Losing Jalen Brunson hurt and has clearly impacted this team so far this season. Even though they’ve begun to play better as of late, I can’t help but feel as if this team is still a mid-season move away from truly throwing their names in the hat of teams that could potentially win the West this year.

I’m not really sure what exactly the Mavs are going to pursue at the trade deadline but it’s clear that they need to make an addition. The question now becomes, is there a player on the trade block worthy of going all-in for this season?
