NBA Trade Rumors: Heading into the NBA Trade Deadline, the Golden State Warriors are seeking to add to their frontcourt depth and shooting.

It’s been a disappointing first half of the season for the Golden State Warriors but there is plenty of time left for the team to turn it all around. And the one thing that we know about the Warriors is that they certainly have the talent to turn things around. Whether or not that eventually happens remains to be seen.

That said, the Warriors are also a team that could look to the NBA Trade Deadline to try and inject some excitement and hope back into this team. Even though that really hasn’t been their MO over the past few seasons, they have been linked to possibly making a move at the deadline.

According to a recent report, the Warriors have been somewhat active in the trade market. What are they reportedly seeking? Golden State is interested in adding some depth to the frontcourt and shooting for the stretch run.

Can the Golden State Warriors make a run down the stretch?

It would come as a huge surprise if we didn’t see the Warriors make a bit of a run during the second half of the season. This is a supremely talented team that is built for the playoffs. They’ve battled some injuries through the regular season but as this team gets healthier and healthier, they should not be counted out in what appears to be a wide-open Western Conference.

And if the Warriors can add a shooter or a big at the deadline, it will only add to the intrigue that will surround this team heading into the stretch run.

Through Golden State’s first 41 games, the team is 20-21 and ranked eighth in the Western Conference. Despite a pretty disastrous start to the season, it’s important to remember that this supremely talented team is only 2.5 games back of the fourth seed and five games out of the third-seeded New Orleans Pelicans (who will have to survive without Zion Williamson for at least the next few weeks, possibly longer).

The season hasn’t been great by any means for the Warriors, but to give up on them before the push toward the postseason would be extremely premature. The Warriors could end up making another NBA Finals run.

Though, they’ll have to recover during the second half of the season first. Perhaps part of that includes adding a player at the trade deadline.
