Trade target: Kyle Lowry, G, Miami Heat

The Dallas Mavericks are a team that likely needs to make a move at the NBA Trade Deadline. And, if I had to guess, I would assume that finding another playmaker to stick next to Luka Doncic would be at the top of the team’s wishlist heading into the deadline. One player that the team had been interested in before that could be a name to watch at the deadline is Kyle Lowry.

Lowry has never been an ideal fit with the Miami Heat since he signed with the team two years ago. He hasn’t had the impact that the team hoped he would have and it would not be outrageous to think that the Heat could be looking to move out from under his contract.

I’m not sure if Lowry should be the Mavs’ primary target at the deadline but if the opportunity does present itself, I’m also not sure it’s something Dallas should not consider. Lowry would add an interesting element to the Mavs. Of course, Dallas would have to agree that he still has something left in the tank to offer.
