The Charlotte Hornets blow up the roster

The Charlotte Hornets currently have the worst record in the Eastern Conference and will likely finish the season as a bottom-three team in the league once this season is all said and done with. It’s clear that this team needs to blow up the roster and retool the roster around LaMelo Ball. But it remains to be seen whether they’ll actually do that.

Though, if they wanted, they could get a head start in doing so at the NBA Trade Deadline. There are several trade deadline targets that many teams will be interested in at the deadline. For example, there’s really no reason why the Hornets shouldn’t, at the very least, shop P.J. Washington, Jalen McDaniels, and Kelly Oubre (if a team is willing to take him on despite his current injury) ahead of the trade deadline.

And if they were to do so, there’s a chance that any one of those players could end up making a big difference during the push toward the playoffs.
