If the Minnesota Timberwolves are going to make a move at the NBA Trade Deadline, there’s a high likelihood that they are going to make a move for a point guard, likely leading to the team parting ways with D’Angelo Russell. There is one player that would make a ton of sense for the team, Mike Conley Jr.

It would not be surprising if the Utah Jazz ended up trading Conley at the deadline and if he is shopped, the Wolves should be one of the teams interested. He’s a veteran point guard that could help guide the Wolves and would be a strong leader in that locker room.

The Wolves need a calming presence at the point guard position and Russell has struggled to be that for them. Maybe Conley is the player that could help this team settle in and make a move up the West standings.
