Boston Celtics
Trade target: Jakob Poeltl, San Antonio Spurs
As long as they remain healthy, the Boston Celtics are going to enter the postseason as the favorite to win the Eastern Conference, and possibly win it all this season. At their ceiling, there aren’t many teams in the league that can keep up with their top-tier talent and overall depth. And they could improve that at the NBA Trade Deadline.
However, if there is one weakness on this team it’s their frontcourt depth. It’s something that nearly forced the Celtics into an early playoff exit last season and could end up doing them in this postseason if they aren’t careful – or, quite frankly, can’t remain healthy.
Heading into the NBA Trade Deadline, one trade target for the Celtics that would make a ton of sense is Jakob Poeltl. He’s a big man that could fill in for Robert Williams (if he gets hurt or is on a load management program during the latter portion of the season) in big moments and the team may not miss much of a beat.
