It’s actually quite amazing what is quietly happening atop the Eastern Conference standings. Over the past couple of weeks, the Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets have begun to fade down the standings, and the Philadelphia 76ers have risen to second.

As the Sixers have gotten healthy, they’ve begun to look more and more like the contender that many expected them to be before the season. But if the Sixers are truly going to make a deep run in the playoffs, they’ll likely still need to add a piece ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline.

And their recent play should only strengthen their likelihood to make an aggressive play at the deadline. Who knows what awaits this team during the offseason; the Sixers should be all-in every year from here on out as long as Joel Embiid is on the roster. Even more so when they’re healthy.
