Buddy Hield, Indiana Pacers

After Myles Turner officially signed his contract extension with the Indiana Pacers, it became abundantly clear that he was not going to be traded at the deadline. With Turner out of the trade deadline spotlight, it should quickly shift to Buddy Hield. He’s a player that isn’t unfamiliar with the rumor mill and could still end up being traded at the deadline.

Plus, let’s not miss the fact that he’s a really good player that is playing at a very high level right now. Hield may not be a No. 1 or No. 2 anymore in the league, but you can make an argument that he could be a game-changing and ceiling-altering No. 3 for a team.

Hield is averaging 17 points and five rebounds on 45 percent shooting from the field and 43 percent shooting from 3-point range. If nothing else, Hield could solidify a team’s outside shooter and give a team a super sixth man off the bench.

And if he could be had for a future first and a salary-filler, there’s no reason to believe why he shouldn’t be moved at the trade deadline.
