At this point in his career, Eric Gordon may not be the star that he was during his prime. That said, he’s still a really good player that could add plenty of value for any team that is looking for a final piece or two ahead of the stretch run. And this could finally be the year that the Houston Rockets finally move him.

There are several contenders that should have interest in Gordon heading into the deadline. And he’s a player that could play an important role for one down the stretch. He can still be a good 3-point shooter and a spot starter at the point guard position. For the right team, he is absolutely worth a future first-round pick.

The big question is whether or not the right team will agree with that belief. Thinking objectively, there’s really no reason why Gordon shouldn’t be traded at the deadline. That said, there hasn’t been much chatter surrounding him as of late.
