Miami Heat
For a team that is struggling with its identity, such as the Miami Heat, any All-Star caliber player that suddenly becomes available at the NBA Trade Deadline is one that they should be interested in. Even though Kyrie Irving has his critics, the Heat, at least from a basketball perspective, should absolutely be interested in this type of player.
Even more so considering that Kyrie may be able to be had on the trade market for less than his basketball talent is likely worth. And if the Nets are looking for a player that could still be useful, the Heat may have a point guard that they may or may not be interested in.
For the most part, Kyle Lowry has been quite disappointing during his tenure in Miami. That doesn’t mean he has nothing left in the tank. If the Nets wanted to roll the dice and try to still compete for the remainder of the season, perhaps they would be open to acquiring Lowry and a young player or a couple of draft picks from the Heat. Would it be something that Miami would jump to do I’m not sure, but I’m sure it’s something they will kick tires on.
