The Phoenix Suns will attempt to make a big move, but it will fall through

Now that the Phoenix Suns’ dirty laundry is out in the open, it’s going to be increasingly difficult for this team to simply move forward with the status quo. And because of that, I believe that the Suns are going to be extremely aggressive in trying to make a big move before the NBA Trade Deadline. Ultimately, I believe the Suns will fail to close the deal.

The Suns reportedly offered Chris Paul (and others) to the Brooklyn Nets for Kyrie Irving. I find it hard to believe that sits well with Paul. Even though he’s a professional and has been through the NBA ringer, you can’t flirt with other teams about possibly trading one of your key core pieces.

I believe the Suns will float the potential of trading Paul and/or Deandre Ayton in an attempt to retool the roster around Devin Booker. That said, I believe there’s a better chance for the Suns to successfully retool the roster in the offseason rather than in the next few days before the NBA Trade Deadline.
