Jakob Poeltl to the Boston Celtics

There’s no reason why the Boston Celtics shouldn’t be all-in heading into the NBA Trade Deadline. And that’s why I believe that this is a team that should make a big move if a big move presents itself. And if they can make an addition such as one for Jakob Poeltl, there’s no reason why the C’s shouldn’t pull the trigger.

In this move, the Celtics would add Poeltl to a team that is likely missing one or two (at most) contributors to win a championship. Poeltl would give the team the depth in the frontcourt that they haven’t had in recent years and more flexibility when it comes to lineups they can roll on the floor in the postseason.

This deal makes sense for the Spurs because they get a future first-round pick and a second-rounder. I know the whispers are that San Antonio is asking for two future first-round picks, but I have a hard time believing they’re going to get that level of offer at the deadine.

In a meeting in the middle, this is a deal that should be good enough to get done.
