P.J. Washington to the Miami Heat

In the event that the Miami Heat can’t pin down a trade for Kyle Lowry, this is a team that could turn to the Charlotte Hornets to finally address the power forward position next to Bam Adebayo. And P.J. Washington would be a great fit on the team. Though, a move for him would be costly.

In this move, the Heat would have to part ways with one of their future first-round picks and one of their low-money players. Considering that the Hornets wouldn’t want Max Strus or Gabe Vincent considering they’re expiring contracts after the season, Maimi would have to include rookie Nikola Jovic in the deal.

It may not be a popular move in Miami to include Jovic in the deal, but it’s something that the team would have to be willing to do if they want to improve the power forward position right now. Plus, we know how good Washington is right now. There’s no guarantee with Jovic. That has to be a gamble swap the Heat is willing to make.
