Breaking down the bigger moves made at the NBA Trade Deadline, featuring the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers making a big move.

After weeks and weeks (perhaps even months) of anticipation, the NBA Trade Deadline is officially here. And if the day before is any indication, we could be in for some major fireworks over the course of the next few hours.

On the day before the NBA Trade Deadline, the Los Angeles Lakers got the festivities started with a big trade to reshuffle their rotation. Then, the New York Knicks made a move for a 3-and-D wing that will surely help their chances of remaining in the playoff hunt in the Eastern Conference.

But that was all just the beginning for what happened overnight in Phoenix. The Suns acquired Kevin Durant from the Brooklyn Nets in a blockbuster trade that will go down in NBA history.

There are still other big moves that could happen before the NBA Trade Deadline

All that said, there’s still time left for other teams to get in on the NBA Trade Deadline action. The expectation is that we could still see a few more big moves. Names such as Kyle Lowry, John Collins, Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby, and others are still very much in play.

As we wait for the action to pick up once again, we’re going to go through every big move that takes place at the NBA Trade Deadline and hand out some trade grades. We’ll begin with the big moves that transpired on trade deadline eve.
