The New York Knicks get Josh Hart

The New York Knicks were reportedly eyeing a move for Josh Hart and they cashed in on one the day before the NBA Trade Deadline. Hart will give the Knicks some added help on the wing and will give this team the much-needed help on the defensive end, taking some of the pressure off of RJ Barrett. He’s also a great rebounder for his position, possibly even the best rebounding guard in the league.

Hart has been mightily consistent for the Blazers so far this season, averaging 10 points, eight rebounds, and four assists on 50 percent shooting from the field. He will give the Knicks another defender to place next to Jalen Brunson, a fellow Villanova product.

In return, the Blazers get a protected first-round picks and Cam Reddish, who is a project that the team could potentially develop down the road. Taking a flier on Reddish might be worth this move along, especially if the Blazers didn’t view Hart in the team’s long-term plans.
