LA Clippers – winner
Just when it seemed as if the NBA Trade Deadline was beginning to fall away from the LA Clippers, their front office turned around and made a couple of solid moves for the team heading into the stretch run of the season.
In their first move, the Clippers traded a couple of second-round picks to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for Bones Hyland. In a subsequent move, the Clippers acquired Eric Gordon in a three-team deal with the Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets. The Clippers have now added to scoring guards in Hyland and Gordon heading into the latter portion of the season.
This move should help the Clippers as they look to solidify themselves as a contender in the Western Conference and if they can remain healthy, they are going to be a strong threat down the stretch.
