In honor of the NBA Trade Deadline, we take a look at the five worst trades of the decade so far.

Four NBA trade deadlines in this decade have come and gone so far. Four years of opportunities for meme lords to flex their powers. No NBA free agency has been as impactful as 2019 (which featured Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving going to the Brooklyn Nets, Jimmy Butler going to the Miami Heat, Kawhi Leonard going to the LA Clippers, and much more.

So in the absence of seismic shifts in free agent departures, the trade market has accelerated. With this year’s NBA trade deadline officially gone, let’s examine the worst trades since January 1, 2020.

As a key note: just because a trade was an F-minus for one party doesn’t mean it was an A+ for another (although often, that is the case.)
